Sideshow alley at Ekka, August 1972, Digital ID 5544
The Ekka may have rolled by for another year, but Queensland State Archives (QSA) will still be rolling out the fun times at our records and information management event to be held on Thursday 1 September 2016.
Like the Ekka, records and recordkeeping has changed since 1972. So in the spirit of moving with the times, the event theme is Digital transition: todays’ records for tomorrow.
With government business processes increasingly being performed in digital systems, recordkeeping practices need to keep pace with these changes. To support agencies with the transition, QSA is bringing together a range of speakers that are currently working in the Queensland public sector, who will share their experiences and approaches.
This event would be of interest to those working in records and information management roles across Queensland government agencies.
We’ll publish a full agenda on The Recordkeeping SPOT Connect and Collaborate page closer to the date.
This session will be held in Room 1, 80 George Street, Brisbane from 9:00 to 11:30 am. Registration from 8:45am. There are limited places, so get online and take the digital transition ride and register here.
We will be live tweeting so follow us on Twitter on the day – #DTTRFT2016. We will also be live streaming the event if you can’t make it to the venue. Details about the live streaming will be sent closer to the date.
